Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch 2014!  This year we visited a new pumpkin patch out on Sauvie's Island.  It wasn't as great as the one we usually frequent but they did have this duck which the boys loved. We have made it a tradition to visit a pumpkin patch each year with our dear friends the Meyers.  We have been going since before our families included all our kiddos.  It is a joy to see how our families have grown over the years.

The boys being boys.  They have been into making silly faces lately and these are a couple of their favorites.  It doesn't look like they know how to have any fun.

Tanner led us through the entire corn maze this year.  Even though we came out where we originally went in...we considered it a success because we did make it out with a four (almost five) year old leading the way.

Tanner pulling Trey in the wagon to go out and find our pumpkins.  As you can see it was extremely muddy but the rain held off until we were in our cars driving home, so for that we were extremely thankful.

Trey found his pumpkin!

Tanner proudly found his pumpkin which he named "The giant" because it was the biggest of all the pumpkins we brought home.

More silly faces!

The boys on the hay wagon.

We didn't get to actually take a hay wagon ride but they let us sit on it for pictures.

We saw a few farm animals; pigs, goats, sheep, and a donkey.

Daddy and Jordyn.  I am  pretty sure he is already wrapped around her finger but I am sure we will seem more of the effects as she gets older.  The boys picked out little pumpkins for Jordyn and she couldn't wait to investigate them.

Jordyn's Dedication Day!

On Sunday September 28th, our sweet Jordyn Mae was dedicated to the Lord.  As a family we stood before our congregation at Willamette and promised to raise her up as God's daughter and teach her about the amazing love that our Savior has for her.  We are at peace knowing that Jesus has Jordyn surrounded with his protection and that she will always have a best friend in Him.  We know God has great things in store for our little girl.  We were blessed to have our family and friends attend the dedication and the celebration afterwards.

Above is Great Grandma Reitha, Grandma Mary, Tanner, Trey and Jordyn.

Standing before our congregation with the other families that chose to dedicate their children and who Jordyn will hopefully grow up with in the church.

Such a blessed day!  Our family of five celebrating God's amazing love and grace.

Almost a year...

Okay....so maybe I am not so great at keeping this blog up to date but when I look back at the documentation of our life, I can't help but keep trying.  So, here it goes(the short version):
Since the last post, ALOT has happened!  We became pregnant with our third, found out baby was a girl, and begin planning.  Tyler has switched jobs, become associate head coach and the boys have grown way too fast.  We were blessed to take two trips to Hawaii, a ton of camping and weekend get aways and we feel blessed each and everyday in how the Lord provides for our family.  They always say that a picture is worth a one thousand words so I will let these pictures do the talking and fill you in on the bigger moments later.
Trey and I enjoying the beaches in Hawaii.  Below is how Tanner spent most his days.

Brothers!  These two love each other, sometimes almost too much.  We love the fact that they really are the best of friends.

Here she is!  Jordyn Mae at about 1 month old.  I will definitely dedicate an entire post to her later, but at least you get to see our adorable addition.

The three incredible blessings in my life.  My heart is filled everyday by these three and God's grand design continues to unfold as we grow as parents to these kiddos.

Here is the concern look that we get from Jordyn throughout most of the day.

These maternity photos almost didn't happen.  These were taken the day that Jordyn was due, which ended up being the day before she decided to make her entrance.

Tanner, Jordyn and Trey.

We have pictures to prove it...to our surprise, she came out with a head full of dark hair.

Our growing family.  Figuring out life as a family of five is a continual adjustment but the adventure and unknown on a day to day basis is part of the fun.

One of my favorite newborn photos of Jordyn.  The quilt she is laying on was made by my mom and I just love how well the photo captures her...sweet and content.

Well, I wont' make promises, but stay tuned for more post.  Soon, I will fill you in on Jordyn's birth story and all our summer adventures.
