3 months and counting

This is one of the great presents Tanner received. It is a full size towel with a wash clothe sewed on as a hood. It has his name on it and is big enough to wrap up in.

Tanner's personality is really beginning to come through. We finally got a picture of him smiling!

Wow...three months! Here he is our ever growing boy. Just lately he is beginning to reach for things and start to play. I love how he stares at his hands unsure of what they are or what to do with them but he knows for sure that they belong in his mouth. He is now "talking" lots more, really trying to make you understand what he wants and he love singing. Laying under his play mat he will "talk" to his octopus and hold onto the rings pulling the toys. Tyler and I can't believe that he is fitting into 6 month clothes and pajamas and he is just so long and lean that finding clothes is sometimes difficult. We are having so much fun with him and can't wait to see what the next month has in store for our family!

Rolling Over part 2

So...I finally took better video of Tanner rolling over. This is for you Grandma!
As far as an update on the family...we are as good and as busy as ever. I have returned from maternity leave and am teaching three mornings a week. It has been an adjustment but it seems to be working out. Tanner and Tyler get boy time those three mornings due to Tyler adjusting his schedule to stay home with Tanner so that I can teach. Tyler is in the height of basketball seasons with both teams winning some tough games. We have been working hard to get some projects done around the house and if I can find the time I will try to post pictures of our new fence and Tyler's new den downstairs(His birthday present). We continue to feel blessed everyday with our amazing boy! Hope you enjoy the videos!

Tanner and the octopus

Tanner has become very interactive with his play mat. The octopus is very intriguing to him and he has newly discovered that if he hits it, it makes noise. He will now spend a good 10-15 minutes playing by himself on his play mat.

Two months and snow

Here is Tanner's two month picture. He is growing everyday and it amazes us to look back at the pictures from when we brought him home from the hospital. At his two month check-up he weighed 12 lbs 2 ounces and was 24 inches long. He handled the shots like a trooper and just slept the day away with minimal fussiness. He amazes me everyday!
After Christmas Tanner saw his first snow. It came down hard for one day and stuck around the following day and then was gone. He loved watching it fall down and was quite curious about it. The dogs went crazy with the snow...playing chase and running as fast as they could through it. Tanner and I were amused.

Rose Bowl...Oregon Ducks!

Tanner fit into his Ducks gear just in time for the Rose Bowl Game on New Year's Day. Here is Daddy and Tanner in their team colors. We went over to our friends house to watch the first part of the game and then finished the game in Tyler's new den.

Here is the entire family in our Ducks gear. This picture also gives you a glimpse of the new den!

New Year's Eve

This New Year's Eve was different. The evening began with two basketball games. From there we were invited over to the Gregg residence for food and games. We stayed and ate for a while and then called it a night around 11 o'clock and headed home. We all put on our comfy clothes and sat in Tyler's new man cave (his birthday present) and rang in the new year together as a family. Tyler and I have been so blessed this last year that it could be hard to top but we look forward to spending 2010 with our biggest blessing, our son, and making memories as a family together. Bring on the new year~!

Tanner's First Christmas

Callie with her Christmas present.

Well...I guess I still have some things to learn about formatting this blog. Anyways, I will get the information and pictures on for now. Christmas was very busy for our family this year. We began our celebrations with a trip up north to visit my side of the family. We then drove home on Christmas morning and was back in town just in time to celebrate with Tyler's mom's family and then to Tyler's mom to celebrate with her and his sister and her fiance. We finally arrived back in our home late that night and took the day after Christmas to relax and hang out at home. Tanner handled all the traveling pretty well and seemed to sleep whenever we opened presents. I know that in just a few short months he will definately be enjoying most of them. Here are some pictures from all our festivities.

Sosa devoured his Christmas card.

Tanner with Aunt Molly. This picture was taken at our last stop and he was ready to pack Christmas away at this point.

Tanner in the toy chest from Grandma Mary.

This shirt explained Tanner's first Christmas in one statement "What Santa doesn't bring me Grandma will!" And we can add Grandpa into that statement.

Tanner in his very own stocking made especially for him by a family friend.

One of my favorite Christmas pictures. Daddy and Tanner hanging out.

Cassidy was more than happy to help Tanner open his gifts.

Tanner slept through most of the festivities and let Daddy open all his gifts.
