Updates...

The nursery is starting to come together. After my mom's visit this last week and her sewing skills it is getting closer to a finished product. We also finally finished the rocking chair so there is no need to worry about comfort. I have sat in it numerous times and it is definately comfortable.

Besides the nursery things are going well. The doctor says that the baby feels to be just the right size and last week we toured the hospital's facilities. We have one more week of baby class left and then we will hopefully know everything to get us through. The baby has definately been making his presence known more and establishing a pattern. We found it humerous the other day that while watching a volleyball game in the gym, he would kick when the server would bounce the ball and when the crowd would cheer but the other times would be still. It is probably a good thing he is coming before basketball season...I don't know if my bladder could handle all the movement.

Overall...things are great and we are getting more and more excited with each passing day!

Baby Shower #2

Today was baby shower #2. It was all coordinated in an adorable jungle theme, right down to this delicious ice cream cake. Thanks again for all the wonderful gifts for baby Toney.
The cake and beautiful flowers!
One of my best friends Katie hosted the baby shower. She wrote a very cute story about Tyler, baby and I and her blessings for us that she read while we passed around a diaper. Here we are next to some balloons. Thanks again Katie for everything~!

Baby Shower #1

The winners of the cutest onesies! My cousins Alexa, Cassidy, and Lindsey.

My Aunt Kitty hosted the first baby shower with all our family and friends up North. We are thankful for all the wonderful gifts and handmade onesies for our baby. Here are a few highlights from the morning...

Two of my closest friends with our moms. Yes...Jaclyn and I were born within 2 days of each other and our due within a month of each other. Raeann is already ahead of us with 2 children of her own.

My mom and I with the beautiful baby blanket she sewed for her grandson.

My great Aunt Gloria. My own grandma passed away before we thought about becoming pregnant. My mom found this afghan started upstairs, by my grandma, at my grandparent's house and enlisted my Aunt Gloria to finished it for the baby. What an amazing gift!

Each person designed a onesie for baby!

The creative process...

The Nursery

Although it is still a work in progress...lots of love and time have gone into the nursery.
Under Jasper's supervision, my mom put nursery furniture together after a long day of painting a stripe all around the room.

Tyler took over putting the next round of putting furniture together.

A Quick Review...

Most of you reading this by now know that Tyler and I are expecting our first child the middle of October. In order to keep everyone up to date and connected we decided to join the rest of the world and start our own family blog complete with pictures (if I can figure it out). So check back periodically to find out what is going on with our family.
